Top Ten Tuesday: Books For Every X To Read

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. A meme where you will post your top ten of everything that's been asked here, depending on the date. Today, it's about books for every type of person/reader.

For the people who are fond of mythology

1. Antigoddess by Kendare Blake
2. Deer In Headlights by Staci Hart

What's not to love when mythology is mixed in the modern world? Imagine the gods and goddess walking around the streets, sipping coffee in cafes, paying taxes.... something like that. These two are it.

For the people who are fond of retellings.

3. The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh
4. The Forbidden Wish by Jessica Khoury

Now these are two of my favorites from 2015 and 2016. Magical retellings with a lot of twists that make the story more interesting. I promise,
these two books are guaranteed to be page-turners.

For the people who love the concept of time travelling.

05. The Here and Now by Ann Brashares
06. Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier

Don't we sometimes wish we could go back in time? Or even wonder what the future is going to be? These books might be for you.

For the people who love to read about a group of friends on an adventure.

07. Six Of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
08. The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater

Adventures as in solving mysteries, stealing, fighting of the bad guys... then yep, these are the group of people who you'd wanna be friends with. And look, BIRDS!! (random)

For the people who thought they wouldn't make it... but they did.

09. Addicted To You by Krista & Becca Ritchie
10. My Heart and Other Black Holes by Jasmine Wanga

You know those moments in life when you thought you just don't know anymore? Like you have no idea what to do or life has brought too much on you and it's already hard to get through it? But then, something changed and you have this determination to live on and move forward. Something that brings you back to the surface and gives you a reason to not give up. These are two of my favorites ever and I definitely recommend this because it's actually really good and somehow, you get inspired by the journey through life these characters had.

Trigger warning: suicide mention

So this is my Top Ten Tuesday, what's yours?

  1. Love The Raven Boys and am planning on reading Six of Crows at some point (I have it, it's just a case of finding the time to read it).

  3. I haven't read any of these, but The Wrath and the Dawn is on my list. I got it for kindle on sale for 2.99 a couple weeks back! This will be my second retelling-- the first of which was Cinder. I enjoyed it, but not enough to keep going in the series.
