March Book Haul

And this will probably be my last book haul until June. I'm saving up for my birthday and I got a lot of books in my TBR shelf that needs to be read (and some of them have been sitting there for a year now). Some of these are going to be added to my TBR again and as much as I was happy that my TBR books last month was lessened, they got other relatives waiting to reunite with theme.

Onto the contemporary lovelies~ First we have, another Rainbow Rowell, Attachments. I was waiting for a paperback edition for this book and yay, the bookstore has released them two weeks ago! I've always loved the covers of this author's books. Simple but pretty.

Next we have: Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan. This book has been in bloggers' favorites shelf and I read the synopsis, I got intrigued. I saw a copy of this last month but this was the cover so I didn't bought it. Then during the first week of March, I saw this edition and the cover was exactly the one I wanted. BOUGHT.

I haven't heard anything about The Impossible Knife of Memory by Laurie Halse Anderson although I've heard about the author. Just like Attachments, I was also intrigued and it sounded good. The cover's also one of the ones that caught my eye, not gonna lie (and that did rhyme).

I read This is What Happy Looks Like by Jennifer E. Smith last Thursday and I really liked it ~added this to favorites shelf~ not too cheesy on the romance, great for summer read (we're close to summer here now) and it has bits of humor between the two main characters, too.

AMY & ROGER'S EPIC DETOUR BY MORGAN MATSON IS MY NEW FAVORITE YA CONTEMPORARY (not really, just one of my favorites but let's go with that). I read this first via-ebook last January and I really loved it. Then I got a physical copy and it was even more better: pictures, doodles and the playlists (in doodle-like form).

Also read via-ebook, but last year, are the first two books in the Blood of Eden trilogy by Julie Kagawa: The Immortal Rules and The Eternity Cure. My mind was having a debate whether to but the paperback editions (because the covers would match) or the hardcovers. But in the end, the hardcovers won and no regrets~ because when you take book 2's dust jacket, it looks like this. PRETTY.

And finally!! I FINALLY HAVE INTO THE STILL BLUE BY VERONICA ROSSI!! Though I'm not gonna read this until I get my physical copy of Through the Ever Night (book 2).

On kindle:

And that ends the haul.

  1. You have a good haul here Chai. I'm jealous that you have Someone Else's Life, it was one of the first books ever on my TBR list on Goodreads, so it holds a place in my unread heart. I'm also jealous of Is This What Happy Looks Like because I've read her other books and loved them, so I'm excited about this one too. Great haul, fantastic books and I hope you enjoy them! :D
