Musing Mondays: First one!

Musing Mondays is a meme started by MizB @ Should Be Reading. Any book-related musings that you want to share.

This one is my first Musing Mondays post so to start this, I'll answer the ones that are asked:

Describe one of your reading habits. - I honestly don't have one. Although I usually drink coffee whenever I read but not to the point I call it a habit.

Tell us what book(s) you recently bought for yourself or someone else, and why you chose that/those book(s). - I recently bought Altered by Jennifer Rush because I've been hearing good things about it and the author reviews at the back of the book did convince me to pick it up. Though I did buy some other books (I'll  make a post tomorrow).

What book are you currently desperate to get your hands on? Tell us about it! - This may seem so obvious but I'm telling the truth and I just can't hold the wait any longer. It's The Fiery Heart  by Richelle Mead. I'm also excited for Allegiant by Veronica Roth and Rebel Spring by Morgan Rhodes.

Tell us what you’re reading right now — what you think of it, so far; why you chose it; what you are (or, aren’t) enjoying it. - Right now I'm continuing Lola and the Boy Next Door. I put it down for a while since The 100 had me at its mercy and decided to read it instead. My exams for this month are over so I can finally read this adorable love story by Stephanie Perkins.

Do you have a bookish rant? Something about books or reading (or the industry) that gets your ire up? Share it with us! - WHEN YOU WANT TO START A SERIES THEN YOU GO TO THE BOOKSTORE BUT THEN THEY DON'T HAVE BOOK ONE AND YET THEY HAVE BOOK TWO AND THE REST OF THE BOOKS IN ITS SERIES BUT NOT THE FIRST. That really bothers me sometimes. And I'm not really fond of buying online.

Instead of the above questions, maybe you just want to ramble on about something else pertaining to books — let’s hear it, then! - I want a bookshelf. I mean I had one but the top shelf gave in and poor books came tumbling down. Now I have this mini bookshelf but it really can't hold all of my books. If I put it into percentage, it seemed like it can only hold 30% of my books. The rest of them are piled on top of a desk I'm not using and it's just no place for books. I want a bookshelf, not a book pile. I still need to make room for two because ever since my last bookshelf came crashing down, the number of my books are increasing and it's kinda getting out of hand.

And this is why I haven't taken a photo of my bookshelf yet. Surely some time soon I'm gonna do a bookshelf tour. I hope.

  1. Sorry about your bookshelf. I think mine is about to crash at any time now too.

    Have a good week.

  3. You know what they say--the floor is a reader's biggest bookshelf. :-)

    1. Haha I do love reading on the floor and spreading my books out. Well, that was before I had a cat. Now, whenever I have my books on the floor, it's either she walks on them or plays with them.

  5. I am also doing my first MM, love how you set yours out. I also am in need of another bookshelf, my other two are full! I agree with you about never being able to find book one of a series and yet they have every other one!!! I get ridiculously annoyed as I then have to wait for it!
